The new A-Class may look almost identical to the old one from the front but it's noticeably wider and nine inches longer. The biggest change is the arrival of a new three-door model – the old shape was only available with five doors. The sandwich-floor construction remains – two floors that divert the powertrain under the car during impact to save the passenger cell. The rear seats split, fold and remove completely and the front seat folds and comes out. The fascia closely resembles that of the current C-Class. You have a choice of three petrol engines and three diesels, all expanded in size over the last generation so that they offer more power.
